Edge extension

Install the Microsoft Edge Add-ons extension and send pages or links back to BrowserFairy.

The Edge extension lets you send the page you are viewing, or a specific link on that page, back to BrowserFairy. Use it for links that start inside Edge, where normal default-browser routing cannot intercept the click.

Install from Microsoft Edge Add-ons

  1. Open the BrowserFairy listing on Microsoft Edge Add-ons.
  2. Click Get.
  3. Confirm in the dialog Edge shows.

Pin the toolbar button

After installing, the BrowserFairy button may be inside Edge's extensions menu. Pin it to the toolbar so sending the current page is one click away.

Send the current page

Open the page you want to route, then click the BrowserFairy toolbar button. Edge sends the page address to the BrowserFairy app, and BrowserFairy opens the Browser Launcher so you can choose where it should open.

Right-click a link on any page and choose Open with BrowserFairy. The extension sends that link to BrowserFairy without opening it in Edge first.

After Edge sends a page or link, BrowserFairy opens the Browser Launcher so you can pick a browser or profile.

If nothing happens

Make sure BrowserFairy is installed and running on the same Mac. The app's icon should be visible in the menu bar. For the full checklist, see Troubleshooting.
