Browser Extensions
Chrome extension
Install the Chrome Web Store extension and send pages or links back to BrowserFairy.
The Chrome extension lets you send the page you are viewing, or a specific link on that page, back to BrowserFairy. Use it for links that start inside Chrome, where normal default-browser routing cannot intercept the click.
Install from the Chrome Web Store
- Open the BrowserFairy listing on the Chrome Web Store.
- Click Add to Chrome.
- Confirm in the dialog Chrome shows.
Pin the toolbar button
After installing, the BrowserFairy button may be inside Chrome's extensions menu. Pin it to the toolbar so sending the current page is one click away.
Send the current page
Open the page you want to route, then click the BrowserFairy toolbar button. Chrome sends the page address to the BrowserFairy app, and BrowserFairy opens the Browser Launcher so you can choose where it should open.
Send a link before opening it
Right-click a link on any page and choose Open with BrowserFairy. The extension sends that link to BrowserFairy without opening it in Chrome first.
If nothing happens
Make sure BrowserFairy is installed and running on the same Mac. The app's icon should be visible in the menu bar. For the full checklist, see Troubleshooting.
