Terms of Use
Last updated: May 2026
By using BrowserFairy ("the App") or this website, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use our services.
BrowserFairy is developed and maintained by venqoo GmbH, a company registered in Germany. Company details are available in our imprint.
The Service
BrowserFairy is a macOS utility that routes links to different browsers based on user-defined rules. The app runs locally on your Mac and does not require an internet connection for its core functionality.
Subscriptions
BrowserFairy offers a free tier with limited features and a paid subscription ("BrowserFairy Pro") with additional capabilities. Subscriptions are billed on a monthly or annual basis through the Mac App Store and are also subject to Apple's applicable App Store terms.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple ID account settings.
Free Tier
BrowserFairy includes a free tier with no trial expiry. You can use the free tier without starting a paid subscription.
Refunds
Since subscriptions are processed through the Mac App Store, refund requests are handled by Apple. You can request a refund through Apple's Report a Problem page.
Browser Extensions
BrowserFairy provides browser extensions for Safari, Chrome, Firefox, and Edge. Safari is bundled with the app. The other extensions are distributed through their respective browser extension stores. These extensions are companion tools that communicate solely with the BrowserFairy app on your Mac. They do not collect data or connect to external servers.
Use of each extension is also subject to the terms and policies of its respective browser extension store.
Intellectual Property
BrowserFairy, its logo, illustrations, and website content are the property of venqoo GmbH. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the app or website without our written permission.
Your rules, configurations, and personal data remain yours. We don't claim any rights over content you create within the app.
Third-Party Services
BrowserFairy integrates with third-party services (Apple's Mac App Store, browser extension stores). We are not responsible for the availability, content, or practices of these services. Your use of them is governed by their respective terms.
Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these terms limits statutory warranty rights or mandatory consumer protection rights. We are liable without limitation for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body, or health, and where liability is mandatory under applicable law.
In all other cases, our liability is limited to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Termination
You can stop using BrowserFairy at any time by uninstalling the app and cancelling your subscription. We reserve the right to suspend access to the service if these terms are violated.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. To the extent legally permitted, the place of jurisdiction is Würzburg, Germany.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time for future use. If we make significant changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where legally required, ask for your consent.
